West Ham United have endured a miserable start to the season under manager Julen Lopetegui.
The Hammers are currently sitting just three points above the relegation zone after winning three of their 11 Premier League matches.
West Ham were very optimistic at the start of the season, as they had spent over £120 million to bring in nine new players.
However, most of the new recruits have failed to make an impact.
These include Niclas Fullkrug, who arrived at the club from Borussia Dortmund for £27m last summer.
The move has spectacularly failed, as he is yet to make a Premier League start due to an Achilles tendon issue.
The 31-year-old’s absence means Lopetegui is forced to play Michail Antonio, but he is ineffective.
Fullkrug is already being linked with an exit. According to Turkish outlet Ege Gundem, Galatasaray are interested in signing him in January.
The club want to bolster their attacking ranks and believe the West Ham player to be an ideal option.
However, a move is unlikely to materialise as Fullkrug is contracted with the Hammers until 2028, and they could demand a huge transfer fee.
He was one of the standout performers for Dortmund last season, helping them reach the Champions League final.
