Leicester City have been relegated to League One just 10 years after they were crowned as Premier League champions.
The Foxes’ demotion to the third tier was confirmed on Tuesday following their 2-2 draw with Hull City.
Gary Rowett, who replaced Marti Cifuentes as manager in February, will leave when his deal expires at the end of the season.
Leicester have suffered a sharp decline since lifting the FA Cup trophy in 2021 under Brendan Rodgers.
They immediately returned to the Premier League after losing their survival battle in 2022-23.
However, their stay in the English top-flight was short-lived, as they suffered the drop to the Championship last season.
Leicester were tipped to return quickly to the Premier League, but they now have to endure the ignominy of back-to-back relegations.
The Foxes needed to win against Hull to give themselves any chance of survival.
The hosts fought back in the second half after conceding an early goal.
Jordan James levelled the scores from the penalty spot before Luke Thomas put his side ahead with a close-range volley.
Oli McBurnie’s clinical equaliser after the hour mark ultimately sealed Leicester’s fate.
Leicester have had to deal with strict punishment this season, having been docked six points due to breaching financial rules.
