GB ‘to join’ Fortaleza on loan from Vasco

Atenção, Vascaínos! reports that Fortaleza have agreed a loan for Gabriel Souza, known as GB, from Vasco da Gama, with the striker to remain until the end of the year.

The Tricolor do Pici will be the centre-forward’s first experience at another Brazilian club. He has represented Vasco since the youth ranks.

For the Gigante da Colina, GB has made 27 senior appearances and scored three times, once against Vitória and twice against Bragantino.

He wore the number 19 at Vasco after promotion to the first team on the back of strong Brasileirão Sub-20 performances.

Fortaleza’s attacking options currently include Vitinho, Bareiro and Kayke.
