Following the victory against Slovan Bratislava, there were some concerns about the condition of two AC Milan stars, but there are no alarms this morning thankfully.
The victory against Slovan showed that there is still a long way to go for Milan before they are a ‘top’ team. Defensively, there were questions, and these were echoed when looking at other areas of the pitch, which is certainly a concern.
Fortunately, though, it seems like any worries about conditions have now settled, as Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan News), reports that Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are both fine. Pulisic admitted after the game that he had been substituted for precaution, and Leao was not started after limping out of San Siro at the weekend.
Nevertheless, both are fine and there is ‘no alarm’ this morning. In fact, the duo partook in a ‘defatiguing’ session yesterday morning at Milanello, and the expectation is that they will both be present for the first minute if Paulo Fonseca wishes.
Despite the win in midweek, questions have still been asked about the squad, so a win against Empoli is a must, and the display must be better in all departments. After all, the Portuguese promised a side who dominated, something which has rarely been seen.
