Appearing first and exclusively in this season’s official matchday programme, we get to know our Women Under-21s players.

Taking on the Q&A this time is Evie Northwood, who joined the Club's academy set-up in the summer after three years with London City Lionesses Professional Game Academy League side, while also appearing for England at Under-16 level.

We sat down with the youngster last month to find out a little more about her…

First started training with Spurs?

“I joined the Club in July this year. I moved from London City Lionesses Academy having been with them for three years.”

Favourite food?

“Anything sweet really. I don’t have a specific meal that’s my go-to.”

Any pets?

“I have got a dog called Bella and I have got two horses, one is called Rue and the other one is called Gem. I have had Gem for about six years now, Rue for about six months and Bella for about seven years.”

Favourite memory as a football fan?

“I went to the EURO 2022 Final at Wembley Stadium when England won the tournament, it was a special moment to witness that in person.”

Any hidden talents?

“I have done horse riding for my whole life alongside playing football, but football takes priority. I can do a bit of everything regarding horse riding so a bit of showjumping and eventing and I also did that competitively as well.”

Who do you like to watch in the first team and why?

“Charlotte Grant and Ella Morris because they both relate to my position and they’re both really good, with a similar style of play to me as well.”

If you could meet someone famous, who would it be?

“Adele as she’s a really good singer and I have a couple of her songs on my playlist.”

If you couldn’t be a footballer, what would you like to be instead?

“I think I would be quite good at being a motivational speaker just because I like talking a lot.”

How would you sum up your character?

“I would say I’m quite bubbly and loud, even annoying sometimes, and I think most of my team-mates would agree with that.”

How would you describe your playing style?

“I would say I’m quick, direct and dominant in one-on-one scenarios with my speed.”
