“Got the armband before me” – Cole Palmer questions team mate being named captain | OneFootball

Cole Palmer has been spotted posting on Instagram comments questioning why his team mate got the captains armband before him!

Palmer is a real character and is unintentionally hilarious, us Chelsea fans absolutely love that about him. He’s very relaxed in general and doesn’t seem to take anything too seriously.

Palmer has been the Chelsea talisman since he joined the club from Manchester City and in his early days at the club, he was pretty much carrying the team.

But it’s had some ups and downs as well and last season he did struggle with a bit of form. Enzo Maresca explained at the time why he though Palmer was struggling.

And I remember the time he missed his first ever penalty for the club reminding everyone that he was actually human after all.

But us Blues fans are witnessing greatness with Cole Palmer right now, and I feel this season he is going to be even better.

Part of every successful team needs strong characters on and off the pitch, and that doesn’t just mean leaders. Having some jokers in the camp and some banter amongst the players is always going to be a huge positive and will help with the success on the pitch.

As you can see in the post above, Palmer decided to jump on Tosin Adarabioyo’s lovely post about beating Bayer Leverkusen on Friday night mocking him for getting the armband ahead of him!

Tosin said via IG:

“Back on the pitch, back with the fans, and back chasing wins.”

Cole Palmer’s reply in the comments:

“Wait how on earth have you got the armband before me ??? 🫠🫠🫠”

This is really funny! These two are always winding each other up, love it!
