Sean Longstaff thumped a 97th-minute equaliser to earn Leeds United a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth on Wednesday night, lifting Daniel Farke’s side to 40 points.

After a goalless first half, Junior Kroupi struck on the hour from a Marcos Senesi through ball, then Willy Gnonto’s low effort deflected off James Hill for an own goal six minutes later. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the player ratings mirrored a mixed display.

Bournemouth turned the screw again as former Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams teed up Rayan to sweep home on 85 minutes. Late substitute Longstaff volleyed in from just inside the box after Ethan Ampadu’s long throw was cleared.

Karl Darlow seven, made big stops and could not get out to Kroupi, with defence and midfield also culpable. Jayden Bogle four, wayward on the ball and struggled defensively, withdrawn at half-time after a heavy challenge that might have played a part.

Pascal Struijk nine, won key aerial duels and tidied up dangerous moments. James Justin seven, steady and dug in, though that flank was not fully shored up after the switch.

Jaka Bijol seven, failed to get a foot on the through ball for Kroupi’s goal but had defended the box well before then. Gabi Gudmundsson seven, a threat going forward with good crosses, tested defensively at times.
