Grêmio in talks for Racing’s Juan Nardoni after Guido Rodríguez setback | OneFootball

After a failed move for Guido Rodríguez, Grêmio have turned to Racing midfielder Juan Nardoni, 23, opening talks despite the Argentine club’s high valuation.

Gremistas.net reports that Grêmio made an initial offer which Racing rejected, and the Buenos Aires side issued a counterproposal setting out their conditions.

Nardoni, a regular with Argentina’s under-23s and one of Racing’s key players, has previously attracted interest from Palmeiras and Santos.

Talks are expected to continue in the coming days. Given the figures involved, Grêmio are proceeding cautiously to structure a bid within their means and closer to Racing’s demands.

Nardoni is under contract at Racing until December 2027. Last year Palmeiras and Santos tried to sign him but were put off by an asking price of about 9 million dollars, roughly R$ 47.2 million at current rates.
