Pep insists it’s too early to worry as Man City look to regain momentum
Despite Manchester City’s 2 - 0 defeat to Tottenham at the Etihad on Saturday, Pep Guardiola remains confident in his team’s ability to recover & regain form in the Premier League.
The Spaniard emphasized that it's early in the season & dismissed concerns over single loss.
"After our 4 - 0 win against Wolves in Round 1 everyone said all was fine. This's just one game" he said.
Guardiola highlighted the disciplined defensive setup of Tottenham under Thomas Frank noting that his team had to adapt:
"We played with a lot of preparation & individual marking as we did previously against Brentford. We missed some simple things but I never expected anything extraordinary"
He assured fans that City aren't in crisis:
"Step by step, we'll improve and create more connections. There're many good things but we must continue to improve"
The message's clear: Man City may have stumbled but Guardiola's confident his squad will bounce back stronger as the season progresses.
