Guido posts cryptic message as Valencia push to extend expiring deal | OneFootball

Valencia have made renewing Guido Rodríguez, whose contract expires on 30 June, their top target for 26/27.

On Saturday the midfielder posted a cryptic message on social media: "La fe y el miedo te piden lo mismo: que creas en algo que no ves. Tú decides". The post arrives with his future unresolved, and, according to Superdeporte, Villarreal and Real Betis are monitoring his situation.

The club are working to agree a new deal and keep him in next season’s squad. His form and experience have made him important, so losing him would be a sporting setback.

Rodríguez said on Friday he is happy at Valencia and in the city, but his focus is on helping the team secure survival.

He described himself as settled and comfortable with team-mates, staff and supporters, and said he is enjoying his time. He added that this is a moment to show personality and responsibility, and that difficult periods can bring out the best in players.
