According to AS, Guido Rodríguez will become a Valencia player in the coming hours after arriving last night. He was scheduled for a medical this morning before signing a deal until the end of the season.

At 10.30 he arrived at the IMED hospital in Valencia for tests. He said he had spoken with Carlos Corberán and was pleased to join a club with a strong Argentine tradition.

Coincidence may see him debut against Betis, where he spent three and a half seasons and impressed. If everything progresses as expected, he will be included in Corberán’s squad.

Valencia train this afternoon to prepare for Sunday’s visit to La Cartuja. Rodríguez will be the standout addition to the session alongside Unai Núñez, who will train with the club for the first time. The centre-back is awaiting the arrival of the transfer to be registered in LaLiga, and the club hopes this can be completed during the day.

Corberán remains without Diakhaby, Tárrega, Thierry and Agirrezabala this afternoon. The Portuguese full-back trained alone last week, running on the grass. Diakhaby is out for the rest of the season, and the other two are stepping up their recovery.
