Toulouse goalkeeper Guillaume Restes has avoided serious injury after a heavy collision with Bouna Sarr forced him off in Sunday’s 4-3 win at Metz.

The club said there was nothing to worry about and that the 21-year-old could return to training this week, with checks showing no lesion.

Restes took a blow to his left knee in the 48th minute and remained on the turf for several minutes. He resumed play, then was replaced by Kjetil Haug in the 60th minute.

He could feature again as early as Saturday against Lorient at 17:00. Around the same time last season, he was rested as a precaution due to thigh pain.

The reassurance came on Monday.
