Corinthians and Flamengo faced each other on the night of this Sunday, the 28th, for the 25th round of the Brasileirão. The match took place at the Neo Química Arena, with Timão opening the scoring with Yuri Alberto, but seeing the visiting team score twice and turn the match around.

“First of all, in the first half we played a good game. We managed to balance and neutralize Flamengo's plays well. We had the chance to score from a penalty, a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Unfortunately, we couldn't score. We support Yuri. Of course, there will be pressure too, but he has our support”, said Gustavo Henrique after the match.

“In the lateral play, I, personally, thought I managed to block it. The direction of the ball is clear, it hits the Flamengo player and goes forward. I manage to reach the ball, block it, the ball hits him and goes out. Consequently, they take the quick throw-in and manage to score. The frustration is very big because we managed to neutralize most of their plays. They didn't create many goal chances. Unfortunately, it ended up being a comeback.” he added.

With the result, Corinthians maintains a negative streak without victories at the Neo Química Arena. The last time was against Santos in the first round, when the classic ended 1-0.

The next alvinegro commitment is on Wednesday, against Internacional. After a thrashing in the first round in Itaquera, Corinthians will go to Beira-Rio to try to take the three points in the Brasileirão.
