Erling Haaland slammed Manchester City’s 3-1 defeat to Bodo/Glimt in Norway as “embarrassing” and apologised to supporters.
Kapser Waarts Hogh’s first-half double and a Jens Petter Hauge strike secured a deserved victory for the Norwegian side, with Rodri also sent off for City in the second half before Rayan Cherki scored a consolation goal.
“I don’t know the answers,” Haaland told TNT Sports after the defeat.
“As I say, I take full responsibility for not being able to score the goals I should do.
“So I apologise to everyone, every single Man City supporter and everyone that travelled today because in the end it’s embarrassing.
“Bodo played some incredible football and in the end it’s deserved.
“Honestly I don’t know what to say because I don’t have the answers. All I can say is sorry.”
