England manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that star striker Harry Kane will feature in tomorrow’s World Cup qualifier against Latvia.
Kane missed the 3-0 friendly victory over Wales on Thursday at Wembley Stadium as the Three Lions ran out comfortable winners.
First-half goals from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka sealed an emphatic success.
That was a ninth win in 10 matches for England, who will now head to Riga on Tuesday aiming to preserve their perfect World Cup qualifying record.
“Very easy with Harry, he can play and is fit. Tuchel said in his pre-match press conference (h/t Sky Sports).
“We did the right thing – top in training and ready to go. I don’t see why he should not be able to play 90 minutes. I don’t see any obstacles.”
Alongside Eberechi Eze and Reece James, Kane was one of three scorers when England defeated Latvia 3-0 in their first-ever meeting in March.
The 32-year-old has been in splendid form this term, scoring 21 goals in 15 matches across all competitions for Bayern Munich, and will be aiming to deliver the goods once again.
England are currently four points clear of Albania at the top of Group K with two games left. They would clinch their place at the 2026 World Cup with a victory.
