Has Brown already inquired about FC Bayern? Kimmich sets the record straight

FC Bayern is on the verge of signing Nathaniel Brown, who is currently in North America with the German national team. He is also in regular contact with various Bayern players on the roster.

It would make perfect sense, then, that the defender—who is expected to cost around 55 million euros in total—has already discussed this topic with Joshua Kimmich and the rest of the team.

That’s exactly what the Bayern star and captain of the German national team was asked at Tuesday’s press conference.

Kimmich talks about Brown

“He hasn’t asked me about FC Bayern yet. But I’m glad we have him here. He had a great game on Sunday with a goal and an assist,” Kimmich explained.

This also suggests that Brown is currently fully focused on the World Cup. He made a very good impression, and not just because of his first World Cup appearance against Curaçao.

“In general, he’s a very calm guy off the field. He’s always hanging out with Assan and Pavlo. On the field, he’s very bold and brings his strengths to the game,” Kimmich continued.

Bayern hopes to finalize the Brown deal quickly

However, one can certainly read between the lines in the DFB captain’s comments that he would view Brown as a valuable addition. For FC Bayern, the priority now is to reach an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt as quickly as possible on the remaining transfer details.

Everything is already set up for the medical exam, which would take place in the U.S. and would in no way affect the DFB team’s schedule.

If FC Bayern and the Hessian club reach a final agreement, then, ideally, Brown’s transfer could even be confirmed before the German national team’s match against the Ivory Coast (Saturday, 10 p.m.).
