“He’s not a quiet, low-profile leader, but I think Raphinha. He has a lot of character, and sometimes you get annoyed with him because he overdoes it, but I think he has that fiery temperament that then makes him, as a player, run up and down all game, help a lot in defense, and score the goals he scores.”

Garcia went on to identify Raphinha as one of the best players in the world today:

“Considering the year he had last season, he can be considered one of the best players in the world.”

Raphinha’s leadership is there for everyone to see, and there is no doubt that Barcelona will miss him as he is currently injured. Meanwhile, other leaders, like Eric Garcia, would have to step up to ensure the effects of this loss on the team are minimal.
