Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has commented on Roberto De Zerbi’s appointment, stressing that he has a lot of respect for the new Tottenham Hotspur boss.
The Yorkshire club are currently sitting 15th in the Premier League table, three points above the relegation zone, following their promotion last season.
North London club Spurs have been unexpected relegation fighters this term and are playing under a third different manager in the campaign.
Spurs currently sit 17th in the Premier League table, a point and a place above 18th-positioned West Ham United, who have 29 points.
Ex-Brighton boss De Zerbi has been given a massive five-year deal and if he is able to keep Tottenham up, he will receive a big bonus as well.

One former Premier League star warned Tottenham that the Italian’s philosophy and style of play could backfire at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium based on what he saw at Marseille.
Farke, though, has praised De Zerbi for his impressive work at Brighton, while talking up his ‘special kind’ of football.
The German boss has made it clear that he has a lot of respect for De Zerbi, but he refrained from giving anything away on the Italian’s appointment.
Farke made it clear he is not worried about other clubs, stressing that his complete focus is on the Elland Road outfit, where he wants to do a lot.

“Obviously, Roberto De Zerbi is a very well-known manager in English football – he did really, really well at Brighton”, the 49-year-old told a press conference when he was asked about the Italian’s appointment.
“He is obviously, is known for his special kind of football and especially the focus on the build-up.
“Yes, he has done really, really well, and he is someone I have got a lot of respect for.
“But it is up to other clubs more or less to take their decisions.
“And from my side, I concentrate on Leeds United, [I have] lots to do with Leeds United and enough to do with it.”
Even though the arrival of De Zerbi has been widely seen as a coup, Simon Jordan played it down, stressing that the Italian is not a big deal.
Farke’s men will travel to N17 next month in the Premier League, which is expected to be a real six-pointer in the relegation battle this season.
