Youngster Lennart Karl from FC Bayern names Real Madrid as his dream club. Many fans on social media and in the FCBinside community are angry about this statement.
Lennart Karl’s statements about his dream club Real Madrid have caused considerable displeasure among many FC Bayern supporters. Frustration quickly erupted in the comment sections of the FCBinside community and on X after the publication – in some cases much more sharply than one would expect from a 17-year-old youth player.
Some fans reacted with clear rejection. “He can still leave the club today. There is no place for traitors in Munich,” wrote one user in the community. Another commented succinctly and soberly: “You shouldn’t stop travelers.” The emotional attachment of many supporters also seems to have suffered as a result of Karl’s words. “He hasn’t done himself any favors with this. But good to know. I wouldn’t buy his jersey anymore!” was another comment.
In addition to anger, many fans expressed disappointment above all else. Karl’s young age was mentioned several times – not as an excuse, but as a warning. “In situations like this, you really notice his age. A statement like that isn’t particularly smart and can cost him a lot of sympathy. Of course, it’s honest to say that. But especially when things aren’t going well, he will be judged precisely on statements like that,” wrote one user. Another fan expressed a similar opinion: “It’s difficult to say that at 17. It costs you sympathy and earns you hate. He can think what he wants, but he shouldn’t have said it publicly.”
The tone was also clear on X. One user summed up the mood in an exaggerated way: “‘This stays between us’ – Bro has just lost his entire fan base after six months of professional soccer.” Another wrote: “I and 95 percent of all Bayern fans have certainly lost their sympathy for him, if you look at the reactions alone.”
At the same time, however, there were also more nuanced voices. “The statement comes a little unexpectedly early. Even if, as a fan, you dream that every player only wants to play for FC Bayern, the reality is different. I have no problem with it as long as he performs well and gives his all,” said one comment.
