Hebburn Town are considering a second loan for Sunderland goalkeeper Isaac Allan as they gear up for their first National League North campaign.
According to Sunderland Echo, manager Daniel Moore said the club are exploring the possibility of bringing back the 20-year-old for next season.
Allan joined the Hornets last term after fellow Black Cats prospect Dan Cameron was recalled from a similar stint at the Trustmark Group Stadium. He produced a series of standout displays before Sunderland recalled him days before Hebburn sealed the Northern Premier League title with a 2-0 home win over Rushall Olympic on the final day.
Moore is strengthening his squad for National League North and made his first addition by signing Whitby Town striker Jake Charles on Wednesday. He remains keen to work with Allan again and believes the Academy of Light keeper can develop at a higher level over the coming years.
If a return is not possible, Moore hopes Allan joins a National League side or one in the EFL, saying the youngster deserves that opportunity and could forge a successful professional career.
