Inter and Juventus continue to track Hellas Verona starlet Giovane, but Gialloblu president Italo Zanzi is keeping his cards close to his chest as speculation builds ahead of the January window.
The Brazilian forward has been one of the breakout performers of the season, impressing with his flair, confidence and ability to create chances in his debut campaign in Italy.
Speaking to reporters after the Lega Serie A assembly in Milan, with quotes via FCInterNews, Zanzi avoided committing to any firm stance on the talented young forward’s future.

Asked whether Verona intend to “lock down Giovane and other jewels” ahead of January, he kept the focus on the immediate fixtures. “Right now we’re only thinking about Sunday,” he said, noting there will be “time to think about the market” later on.
His comments leave every scenario in play, with Verona aware that interest from both Inter and Juventus is only intensifying.
For now, Verona remain publicly calm, but Zanzi’s careful language suggests the January conversation is far from closed.
