Bild reports Hertha Berlin’s Ibrahim Maza has a release clause in his contract which is attracting interest from Bundesliga sides.
Maza extended his contract at the Hauptstadt side in the summer until 2027, but one of the conditions of the extension was a release clause valued at €9.5m. However, the final value of the clause will vary depending on Maza’s appearances in the league as well as for the Algerian national team.
Bayer Leverkusen are said to be one of the teams interested in Maza as are VfB Stuttgart, who courted the 18-year-old in the summer before his extension. Stuttgart are monitoring the situation as either Enzo Millot or Chris Führich could leave the club next summer due to release clauses.
With Hertha currently 11th in the 2.Bundesliga and promotion looking unlikely, a solid campaign from the Algerian could mean a move to the MHP Arena is a natural step up in his career and development if Hertha are once again a second-division side next season.
In 12 games in the 2.Bundesliga this season, Maza has three goals and one assist.
