South Korea head coach Hong Myung-bo was booed on arrival at Incheon after the team's World Cup group-stage exit.
The coach and part of the squad landed early on Tuesday at Incheon airport. According to L'Équipe, several dozen fans were waiting and jeered the group despite attempts to avoid the crowd.
Hong was the main target, with chants demanding that he leave. One supporter also confronted him aggressively with insults and shouting.
He resigned the day after the elimination and was criticised by the South Korean president.
A national team supporters' group has urged that he be barred from coaching in the country. More seriously, he has received death threats, and an investigation remains ongoing.
