Lorent Tolaj's stance on his Plymouth Argyle future amid intense transfer speculation has potentially become clearer in a fresh update
Plymouth Argyle remain very much in contention to secure their spot inside the League One play-offs with three games to spare of the current campaign following a remarkable turnaround in fortunes under Tom Cleverley.
Earlier on in the season, it looked as though the Green Army were poised to wind up in a battle against successive relegations from the Championship down to League Two.
Plymouth have picked up dramatically, though, and now find themselves positioned in seventh and just two points behind sixth-placed Stevenage ahead of Tuesday evening's crunch trip to fellow promotion hopefuls Bradford City.
Their ascent up the league table has been helped to no end by the efforts of Lorent Tolaj, who has enjoyed a stellar debut campaign at Home Park after joining from Port Vale in a reported £1.1 million deal last summer. The 24-year-old talisman's record to date reads impressively with 16 goals and five assists from just 26 League One appearances for Argyle, while he's also added a further four strikes in EFL Trophy action.
It's no surprise, then, that Tolaj is reportedly attracting interest ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. As reported last week by Belgian outlet Voetbal Primeur, Anderlecht and FC Copenhagen are both eyeing the Swiss-born striker alongside Championship trio Norwich City, Swansea and Stoke.
Cleverley, however, has revealed that Plymouth are yet to receive any advances for Tolaj's services - though interest is naturally anticipated - with the Argyle head coach declaring that "a lot of money" will be required in order for his star man to be prised away from Devon in the near future.
Tolaj's own stance on potentially leaving Plymouth this summer has also become clearer in a fresh update - and it's one which may just delight the Green Army faithful.
Speaking in preparation for his side's trip to Bradford, Cleverley was quizzed on Tolaj's future once again as we edge ever closer to the end of the season.

The former Watford boss explained how the striker actually feels about staying at Plymouth, claiming that there has been no expression of wanting to leave once the summer window opens.
Indeed, it's Cleverley's view that Tolaj's work-rate and spirit embodies the volume of his love for Plymouth, and he will only hope that convinces the striker to stick around for a second season - which could prove difficult if Argyle fail to gain promotion through the play-offs.
Cleverley stated, via PlymouthLive: "Neither mine or (Argyle director of football) Derek Adams's phone has received any calls but I would imagine agents are doing their thing in the background.
"Tolly hasn't expressed anything about wanting to leave the football club, and I think you can see by his work rate and competitive spirit, before you talk about the goals, how much he loves playing for Argyle.
"Obviously, he's one of our best players, he will attract some interest and inquiries. Every team in the country would love a striker that can turn a draw into a win in the blink of an eye, and those do cost a lot of money."
It appears as though Tolaj is hardly angling for the exit door at this moment in time, which represents a considerable boost to Plymouth's ambitions of retaining his signature for as long as possible.

Just how long that will actually be only remains to be seen, of course, with the circling vultures likely to intensify their efforts in the event of Argyle falling short of breaking into the top-six or then losing out in the play-offs.
It's only natural that, at his current rate, Tolaj will eventually outgrow Plymouth and that's a testament to the club's savvy recruitment in the first place.
When that time comes, though, the Green Army can brace for a serious cash windfall and profit, having only paid just north of £1 million to activate the striker's release clause at Vale Park last summer before smartly tying him down to a contract which runs until the summer of 2029.
Tolaj's impact at Plymouth has been immense and they're sure to reap all the rewards, be that through promotion, a handsome transfer fee, or even both.
