Football League World has asked ChatGPT how much it reckons Gustavo Hamer is worth right now amid reignited interest in the midfielder.
Sheffield United look to be heading towards an underwhelming end to the 2025/26 campaign, with their incredibly disappointing start to the season ending all hopes of a play-off push.
The Blades are now 17th in the league table following a really disappointing March, in which they have picked up just two points from their four games, and they are now closer to the relegation places than they are to the top six of the Championship.
While Chris Wilder has all but stopped the South Yorkshire outfit from a relegation battle in the final seven games of the season, there has been major discontent at Bramall Lane over the course of the last 39 matches, and full focus will be on improving the squad over the summer.
Yet, there is one issue facing Sheffield United, and that is the future of Gustavo Hamer. Having been the subject of interest from Turkish side Trabzonspor in the January transfer window, it has emerged that they are once again looking to pursue a deal for the midfielder, and Football League World has asked ChatGPT how much it believes he could be worth.
The 28-year-old has been crucial to the Blades this season, and without him, there is no doubt that they would have been fighting for their Championship status until the very end. However, with four goals and 11 assists to his name in all competitions, this has once again been a relatively strong year for the Dutchman.

The report from Kuzey Expres has stated that Hamer may cost Trabzonspor as much as €20m (£17.2m) this summer. Yet, with just a year left on his contract, Sheffield United may well be tempted into letting their number eight go for a lower price.
Football League World has asked an AI chatbot how much Hamer may cost this summer, and their calculation is much lower than the Turkish outlet's report. ChatGPT has stated that the former Coventry City could be sold for as little as £6m in the summer, which is the fee that Trabzonspor originally offered for him in January.
However, this could rise up to £10m, and if there is significant interest from several clubs, a bidding war may see fees of up to £15m for the Sheffield United ace.
When Hamer signed for the Blades in August 2023, he put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal. However, this contract has just a year left on it now, and with his club facing another season in the Championship, he may push for a move away.
He left Coventry after they failed to win promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs, and given his age, he may be unwilling to spend yet another year in the second tier with European football and a chance of top flight football elsewhere potentially on his horizon.

Sheffield United are on course for their worst league finish since they were in League One in the 2016/17 campaign, and a fresh start is exactly what Hamer needs.
Nevertheless, if the Blades are to be successful, they must find a replacement for the 28-year-old quickly if he does leave, and utilise any of the fee they recoup efficiently.
