The winger swapped Norwich for Portugal in the summer.
Borja Sainz left Norwich City to sign for Porto for a significant fee over the summer.
The 24-year-old departed Carrow Road in July in a £14.25m deal, linking up with Portuguese side Porto.
The former Spain youth international had just come off the back of the best season of his career to date, and likely saw the move as a step up.
But did the switch make much difference to his own finances? Football League World takes a look…

Sainz was signed by the Canaries in the summer of 2023 on a free transfer from Turkish side Giresunspor, where Capology estimates he was earning £6,624.
The move to Norwich presented a significant boost to his earnings, signing a three-year deal worth, according to Capology, £15,000 per week.
He netted six goals and provided two assists in his first Championship season, but it was last term he really proved his worth, providing a staggering 18 goals and four assists, before making the switch to Porto.
The move did come with some financial incentive, but there may have been other factors at play.

Sainz moved to Porto and signed a five-year deal with the club in mid-July.
According to Capology, the terms of that deal see him bring in £19,532 per week as a base salary, with £4,925 per week available in bonuses.
It represents a significant uplift on his old Norwich deal, but perhaps not enough to warrant the move by itself.
However, it must not be disregarded that Porto gives Sainz the chance to test himself on the European stage, having qualified for the Europa League this season, a competition the former Norwich man has already gone on to score in this term, having netted in their 1-1 draw against Utrecht.
On top of that - and the fact it goes without saying it's a move closer to home for him - Porto are a massive club, with two Champions League and Europa League trophies to their name, as well as 30 Liga Portugal titles and 24 Taça de Portugal (league cup) wins.
All of these factors and more are likely to have played a greater factor than the modest increase in wage for Sainz when choosing to head for Porto in the summer.

Sainz has made a promising start to life with Porto, netting three goals and providing two assists in 11 league games for the club so far this season.
He has also made a handful of Europa League appearances, featuring in games against the likes of Utrecht, Nottingham Forest, Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) and RB Salzburg respectively.
The mere opportunity to play in ties like that, in big European matches, is enough to justify the move, but it looks an even greater decision when considering Norwich’s current woes, who look in real danger of being dragged into a relegation battle, rather than having Premier League football on their horizon.
Given Norwich paid nothing for Sainz in 2023, they made a handsome profit on the deal, the winger has been able to take a step up in his career, and Porto have gained a talented attacker; in the end, it was a deal that worked for everyone, as much as the Canaries may wish they had him now for their current rough patch.
