Football League World takes a look at Barry Bannan's Sheffield Wednesday wages amid the news that the midfielder could join Millwall.
Millwall have eyed a move to sign Sheffield Wednesday stalwart Barry Bannan amid the South Yorkshire outfit's continued struggles on and off-the pitch.
The Owls remain in administration and are rooted to the bottom of the Championship table with a negative points tally, with relegation to League One representing an inevitability for Wednesday.
One positive at Hillsborough this term, though, came when Bannan extended his stay in S6 last summer, even as former owner Dejphon Chansiri was consistently failing to pay player wages on time.
The former Crystal Palace man joined Wednesday back in 2015, and has gone on to make over 470 appearances for the South Yorkshire club, excelling in both League One and the Championship.

Bannan has continued to prove his worth for the Owls this term, despite their struggles, scoring against Norwich City, Portsmouth, and Wrexham in the second tier.
Those efforts have caught the watchful eye of Millwall, who are among a clutch of sides interested in Bannan as they attempt to secure a Championship play-off spot.
According to Capology estimates, the former Scotland international is Wednesday's top earner, taking home a weekly wage of £25,000 per week.
However, Alan Nixon has claimed that - more realistically, it must be said - Bannan is earning just £7,000 per week at Hillsborough, with the Scotsman having taken a significant pay cut last summer.
A consortium led by James Bord has been named as Wednesday's preferred bidder to complete a takeover of the S6 outfit and guide them away from administration.
Lowering costs could be on the agenda of the prospective ownership group, so facilitating Bannan's exit could be an ideal route for the Owls to pursue.

Bannan has been a shining light for a struggling Owls outfit this season, whereas Millwall are eyeing a place in next season's Premier League.
The all-action midfielder previously helped Wednesday finish in the Championship play-offs in both 2016 and 2017, and could now help the Lions achieve that feat several years later.
Alex Neil's men produced a statement win over fellow promotion chasers Watford on Saturday, thanks to strikes from Femi Azeez and Josh Coburn.
Millwall will need to earn similar results to their Vicarage Road triumph in the next few months to ensure that they land a play-off spot come the end of the season.
Bannan's Wednesday exploits, both past and present, suggest that he has the quality and experience to help the Lions in their quest at the age of 36.
Just last season, when the Owls landed a top-half spot in the Championship under the successful stewardship of former boss Danny Rohl, the former Bolton Wanderers man notched four goals and five assists in the second tier.
Bannan's creativity, coupled with his reliability and tenacity, would be a real asset for Millwall as they vie to beat the likes of Bristol City to a top-six spot, or even challenge clubs such as Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town for an automatic promotion place.
If the Lions move quickly to acquire the Wednesday man, they could enjoy his services in upcoming Championship fixtures against South London rivals Charlton Athletic and a currently underperforming Sheffield United.
