Valencia end a controversial campaign tonight against Barcelona. Alongside European ambitions, Carlos Corberán’s side are also playing for prize money tied to their final place.
According to Superdeporte, La Liga’s broadcast income is allocated under Real Decreto-ley 5/2015. Half is shared equally, the other half is split into two 25% blocks.
One 25% block reflects social footprint, one third from average season-ticket and gate receipts over the last five seasons, two thirds from each club’s contribution to TV revenue.
The other 25% depends on finishing position. Using 2024/25 official La Liga figures as a guide, the total pot is 1,292 million euros, of which 323 million is paid by league ranking.
In this tight finale Valencia could finish between seventh and 12th. Seventh equals 5% or 16.15 million. Eighth is 3.5% or 11.30 million. Ninth is 3% or 9.69 million. Tenth is 2.75% or 8.88 million. Eleventh is 2.5% or 8.075 million. Twelfth is 2.25% or 7.26 million.
The club would receive 35% of that prize next season, 20% in the second year, then 15% in each of the three following campaigns.
