An insight into the initial reaction of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. to the news of a banner being prepared for him on the part of the Manchester City faithful has been forthcoming online.

For those who may have missed it, the plans of a group of Man City supporters for tonight’s Champions League showdown with Real Madrid have taken their place front and centre in the headlines in Spain.

This comes after word was forthcoming that the group of fans in question have prepared a specialised banner.

The banner, to be unveiled in the stands at The Etihad, will showcase sidelined City midfield Rodri, alongside the caption ‘stop crying your heart out’.

As much comes as an evident dig at Real Madrid and star attacker Vinícius, in response to their reactions to Rodri pipping the Brazilian to last year’s Ballon d’Or.

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV, news of this plan has already reached Spain’s capital.

Real Madrid, as a collective, are said to be ‘unbothered’ by the banner, with Vinícius now ‘even more motivated’ to prove himself decisive at The Etihad.
