Nigeria need just a point against Benin to secure qualification for the 2025 African Cup of Nations.

The Super Eagles won the reverse fixture 3-0, with 2024 African Player of Year favourite Ademola Lookman scoring a brace, and current holder of the award, Victor Osimhen, netting the other, and will be heavy favourites to win again here.

Benin’s task is made even tougher by the game being played in Abidjan, Ivory Coast due to a lack of a suitable stadium in the country.

However, they did win their last “home” game with Nigeria 2-1 in a World Cup qualifier in June, and will be hoping to pull off another shock here.
