Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to follow up their huge win over title rivals Arsenal on Sunday and find themselves in great form ahead of the trip to Turf Moor.

Burnley, meanwhile, look destined for relegation back to the Championship. They are without a win in eight games in all competitions and have lost six of them, with their most recent defeat coming at Nottingham Forest.

What’s been said?

Guardiola on the title race: “Both teams know they cannot lose or drop points. It will be difficult to recover and our calendar is so demanding, especially when the opponents are really, really tough.

“It is more difficult [for the side chasing], mentally and physically. What happened after Arsenal, we have to go to Burnley and perform at the level we have to do.

“We talked immediately after the game, do not lose the focus. Arsenal is top of the league and right now, they would be the champions.”

Burnley boss Scott Parker: “Regarding the outcome of tomorrow night and the situation of what it can be is one which the players have probably been facing for some time, really.

“I don’t think it [relegation] is a big player in terms of us. That’s been the challenge for us over the last few months, to be honest with you, because we have not managed to pick up results.

“That burden has obviously been on our shoulders for some time now.

“That may be the reality for tomorrow night, that’s the way it is and where we are now in terms of our season.”
