The League One promotion play-offs will be decided by an all-London tie, with Charlton and Leyton Orient set to face off at Wembley Stadium.

Orient, chasing a first return to the second tier since 1995, have been similarly resurgent of late, ending the season on a run of six wins to pip Reading to a playoff spot. They required penalties to beat Stockport in the semi-final, but Tottenham loanee Josh Keeley was the hero between the sticks, making a crucial save.

For Charlton, an opportunity presents itself for the club to end a five-year stay in the third tier. They were relegated from the Championship in 2020, immediately after being promoted the previous season.

Their play-off semi-final was a nervy one. The Addicks drew 0-0 with Wycombe Wanderers in the first leg, before Matt Godden left it to the 81st minute of the second to score the winner.

Charlton will vie for promotion in front of a sympathetic Wembley crowd after selling out their initial 36,945 ticket allocation in just 40 minutes.
