Redds out to overturn slender deficit in tense last 16 clash
Liverpool take on Galatasaray in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie tonight.
The Reds trail by a single goal from the reverse fixture at RAMS Park, where Mario Lemina notched the winner.
It was the second loss they have suffered in Istanbul this term, having fallen by the same scoreline in the league phase earlier in the season.
Victor Osimhen netted from the spot that day, but this time, Arne Slot’s men have home advantage.
That did not help them against Tottenham at the weekend however, as Igor Tudor’s men earned an unlikely point at Anfield.
Richarlison scored a late equaliser as Spurs snared a share of the spoils, and the result led to Liverpool being booed off by the home faithful.
It also saw them lose further ground on Manchester United in the race to finish in the top four, with United defeating Aston Villa 3-1, although the Reds did benefit from Chelsea’s 1-0 loss against Newcastle.
TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on TNT Sports 1, with coverage starting from 7pm GMT ahead of an 8pm kick-off.
Live stream: TNT Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Discovery+ app and website.
Live blog: You can follow all the action on matchday via Standard Sport’s live blog.
