Liam Manning could fail to guide Huddersfield Town to the League One play-offs following his woeful Norwich City spell in the Championship
Liam Manning oversaw a woeful spell in charge of Norwich City in the Championship earlier this term, and is now struggling to keep Huddersfield Town's League One play-off hopes alive.
The Terriers have suffered three defeats in their last seven third-tier games, and were also held to a 0-0 draw by rock-bottom Port Vale last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Norwich were threatened by the prospect of relegation from the Championship to League One when they sacked Manning back in November.
The 40-year-old's successor, Philippe Clement, has transformed the Canaries and ensured that they are now likely to land a top-half finish in the second tier.

Manning enjoyed a strong start to life as Huddersfield boss, enjoying successive wins over Bradford City, Luton Town, and Peterborough United in his first three games.
However, the former Norwich head coach has subsequently steered the West Yorkshire outfit to just two victories since January, which has seen his side drop out of the League One play-off places.
Amid the Terriers' poor form, Football League World asked our Canaries fan pundit, Zeke Downes, if he was surprised to see the third-tier club struggle under Manning.
Downes told FLW: "I thought that Manning would do pretty well in League One, but it seems like they're having the same problems that we had, and the fans aren't really very happy with him.
"It's not too much of a shock, but I did think he would do better than he is. Not sure whether he's going to be able to turn it around, because we saw how he was with us, and it seems like he's possibly going that way with them as well.
"Seeing a lot of their fans really not happy with how things are there, and what he says in his interviews and stuff. I wouldn't be too surprised if he's not around for the start of next season, which is a shame.
"He's a nice guy, but I just wonder whether he's really cut out for this sort of job at this level. But who knows? He might end up turning it all around, and it ends up being okay."

Downes is right to outline that Manning's poor management at Huddersfield is mirroring what Norwich saw from him earlier this campaign.
When the Canaries acquired the 40-year-old's managerial services last summer, it felt like a good appointment following the brilliant job he did in charge of Bristol City.
Manning became the first Robins boss to steer the West Country club to the Championship play-offs since they won promotion from League One back in 2015.
Norwich had hoped that the former Bristol City boss would perform similar exploits in Norfolk, but the Carrow Road outfit were instead dragged into the lower echelons of the second tier.
Despite Manning's poor tenure in charge of the Canaries, Huddersfield cannot be blamed for thinking that he could have produced the goods in League One after guiding the Robins to the Championship play-offs just last term.
However, the Terriers now appear likely to miss out on the top six, which would paint a poor picture of their boss, who also struggled at Norwich.
