Hugo Lloris returned to OGC Nice’s training centre on Wednesday, revisiting the club where he came through and made 78 first-team appearances between 2005 and 2008.
According to L'Équipe, the former France goalkeeper, capped 145 times, toured the facilities with his father and was welcomed by president Maurice Cohen, who gave him his first professional deal.
He also crossed paths with long-time staff, including Serge Recordier, who coached him for six months at the academy.
Nice secured their Ligue 1 status via the play-off against Saint-Étienne, drawing 0-0 then winning 4-1.
Lloris, a 2018 world champion, now plays for Los Angeles FC, having joined in 2024, and used the MLS pause from 25 May to 16 July to make the visit.
At 39 and after his Lyon spell from 2008 to 2012, he continues his career in the United States, impressing early this season, which prompted talk of a possible France recall that did not materialise.
