Hugo Souza recalls European interest, shares his goals at Corinthians

The Corinthians goalkeeper Hugo Souza continues to be one of the main leaders and protagonists of the team, having already won three titles and the admiration of the Corinthians fans, making a point to recall the times when he received offers from Europe.

In an interview with the portal Meu Timão, Hugo spoke about the proposal from Milan, received back in December: "Milan is a great club, with seven Champions Leagues in history, there's nothing more to say. And I am very happy to be able to attract the interest of clubs like this. But I am 100% focused here because I am sure that what I do best here at Corinthians is what will bring me closer to the World Cup. I am very happy here, I want to continue winning titles, I want to keep winning here."

Hugo Souza also revealed his dream of winning the Libertadores still wearing the Corinthians jersey and shared a conversation with Yuri Alberto about the subject: "I said some time ago, it even went viral, that we were coming back from the Supercup, I told Yuri: 'Wow, imagine us winning a Libertadores here, how would it be? It would be crazy.' I have been achieving my dreams, I have been realizing my dreams, my family is happy, I was able, through Corinthians, to transform the reality not only of my family but of everyone around me. And I am very happy about that."

Besides the proposal from Milan, the goalkeeper's agents also confirmed that there was a proposal from Besiktas, Turkey, around 10 million euros (61.6 million reais) for the athlete to leave during this window, but the player is expected to stay at least until the World Cup period.
