Among the host of Manchester United players whom the club are open to selling this summer is Andre Onana, though he has yet to garner any concrete interest since the window’s initial opening.
The goalkeeper already faced a hugely uncertain future when he oversaw yet another lacklustre year in his sophomore campaign at Old Trafford, having added to his catalogue of costly errors on numerous occasions since Ruben Amorim took the reins.
Then, when the boss opted to omit Onana from his matchday squad for the final game of the Premier League season with little to no explanation as to why, fans presumed it spelt the end of his Red Devils tenure.

A considerable lack of activity regarding Onana’s exit has since thrown his situation further into question. United can only sanction his sale if they manage to find a buyer willing to pay up for the £47 million acquisition, and it’s not as if he’s made himself a talent in demand with his lacklustre performances over the last two terms.
The 29-year-old was briefly linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League before the window opened, yet nothing materialised, leaving Amorim likely sweating over whether he’ll be starting 2025/2026 with Onana as his No.1 again.
It seems as though the player himself is none the wiser, either.
He has jetted off to his native Cameroon to kickstart his summer holidays and, unsurprisingly, was put on the spot over his future at United.
When pressed on whether he’d still be at the club beyond the transfer period, the shot-stopper responded: “Will I leave? I don’t know. We’ll see.”
As things stand, Onana remains tied to the Reds until 2028 — plus the option of an additional year. He earns a reported £110,000 per week.
