Chelsea striker Joao Pedro wants his Blues team mate Cole Palmer to join him playing for Brazil going forward.

Both players have missed out on a spot at the World Cup this summer, and both players must be hugely disappointed when they got that news.

It’s a real shame that neither Pedro or Palmer will be at the World Cup this summer, but on a selfish standpoint and with my Chelsea blue tinted glasses on, it’s a great thing. It means they wont risk getting injuries out there, will get an extra rest, and can enjoy an actual holiday this summer. But with my general football glasses on, I’m gutted. I’m buzzing for the World Cup and I love being able to support and watch Chelsea players out there. These two will be missed.

Palmer to Brazil?

In quotes picked up by SPTC, Joao Pedro said on Cole Palmer:

He’s very intelligent. He’s magic,” Pedro said. “I said to him before, ‘I didn’t think you were that good.’ And he looked at me [with a quizzical expression]. But now, because I play with him, yeah, he’s different.

“I said to him, ‘Why don’t you come to Brazil? Take the number 10 there, mate. No problem.’

“Because in Brazil, we don’t have this guy. If you watch us we play 4-2-4. We don’t have a number 10,” he added.

“Cole is a different guy. Sometimes he’s quiet, but then [snaps fingers]. One second, he’s changed the game. So he’s very good.”

In other news today…

Allegedly, Chelsea don’t want to sell Enzo Fernandez, and have set a high asking price for him. Although I don’t believe it…. I’m sure he’ll go for much less than £120m.

Levi Colwill had a great return to action following injury, and reports on his rehab show just how that was possible. People at Chelsea were surprised.
