Following an impressive season from FC Barcelona, there is a lot of respect and a admiration for the club. Beyond just seeing the team return as a major European competitor, even the players are seen as world-beaters. Fortunately, this is just the beginning for Barcelona.
After all, the club is focused on assembling a team that is not just competitive right now but also in the future. With the core of this young Barcelona squad being centered around some of the most promising youngsters in world football, it is easy to understand the hype.
Moreover, with the way players like Lamine Yamal are shining, it is hardly surprising to see all the praise and hype around him. With the 17-year-old Spanish winger expected to take on the number ‘10’ shirt at Barcelona as well, his future just screams stardom.

Recently, even former Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos praised the young Barcelona winger. As quoted by Reshad Rahman, the German maestro spoke about the young pearl and just how absurd his quality is considering his young age while even using his own example:
“I made it to the first team at 17, but I wasn’t at Lamine’s level. I’ve never seen anything like this at such an age. In tough situations, he always steps up, and at his age, that’s not normal.”
That is big praise coming from someone like Toni Kroos, but it highlights something more than just the youngster’s ability to shine despite his age. It also speaks about his quality to pop up in the biggest of moments when his team needs him, and that is something that even the most experienced of stars can struggle with.
Even the numbers agree, as Yamal’s projected statistics for next season look absurd. However, irrespective of how impossible certain numbers and projections can look, there is no denying the Barcelona star’s ability to continue improving.
Interestingly, however, this is not the first time that Kroos has complimented a Barcelona youngster. In fact, he previously spoke quite highly of Spanish midfielder Pedri as well, even going as far as to calling him the best player in the world when it came to his position.
