‘I’d deliver it to him’ – Kylian Mbappé chooses between Lamine Yamal & Dembélé for Ballon d’Or | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has this weekend provided his take on the race for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

This, of course, comes with the ‘Golden Ball’ ceremony now just a matter of weeks away.

As things stand, there are two clear frontrunners for the prize, in Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal, and Paris Saint-Germain frontman Ousmane Dembélé.

The latter, owing to his exploits en route to PSG bringing an end to the club’s Champions League curse, is considered the favourite with the bookmakers.

And of the opinion that as much reflects accurately on the balance of the last 12 months in world football is the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé.

Speaking during an interview with TF1 (as cited by Instant Foot) whilst on international duty with France this weekend, Real Madrid’s goalscorer extraordinaire was asked for his opinion on the Ballon d’Or fight.

And Mbappé went on to explain:

“Does Ousmane Dembélé deserve it? Of course! If it were up to me, I’d deliver it to his house. I hope Achraf Hakimi will be well-placed because we need to give defenders their due. Lamine Yamal? Well, no, he’s a Barcelona player (laughs). But he’s a very good player!”
