Kevin De Bruyne has revealed his future is still unknown with his Manchester City contract will expire at the end of this season.

De Bruyne has been at Manchester City for ten years but revealed this year might be his last: “Talks will come, if no talks come it will be my last year. I just want to play good football.”

The Belgian has been out with a thigh problem since September, but managed to play 16 minutes against Spurs on Saturday as he continues his return to fitness.

On his injury woes, he said: “I was hoping to be out for days but it ended up being eight or nine weeks and I would rather get back first and all the rest will come. I think personally this has been the most frustrating [injury].

“Last year I knew I would be out for five or six months but this time I was testing myself to see if I would be fit for the weekend after Inter [in September] and it’s taken a very, very long time.”

The 33 year old also said he wasn’t too worried about his future: “I am not too obsessed with things but there is not much I can say. I am fine, I am happy, I just want to play football again and we will see.”

With the poor run of form Manchester City are on, De Bruyne’s return from injury comes at a good time.
