Iñaki Williams and Patricia Morales have enjoyed a short break in Paris with their baby, Niko, after the league season ended. The Athletic captain is set to link up with Ghana for a friendly against Wales in Cardiff next Tuesday.

According to El Correo, head coach Carlos Queiroz, who replaces Otto Addo, has selected the elder Williams brother for Ghana’s final warm-up before their World Cup debut and named him in an initial 28-man squad. Williams must still wait to learn whether he will be part of the Black Stars’ travelling party for the tournament.

Morales shared a carousel of images on Instagram showing the family at several of the French capital’s best-known sights.

The couple are about to mark two years of marriage. After seven years together, they married on 1 June 2024 in Bilbao, with most of Athletic’s first-team squad in attendance.

At the start of this season they welcomed their son, Niko. In a post at the time, they announced his arrival, said their family had grown and that their hearts were filled with immense love, and offered thanks for so much in so little time.
