Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the future of Real Madrid teenage prodigy Endrick.

The 19-year-old striker endured a mixed debut campaign at the club last season, with minutes hard to come by under former boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Now, with new manager Xabi Alonso putting his faith in Gonzalo Garcia, Endrick has slid further down the pecking order, leading to doubts over his continuity.

Currently injured, Endrick has ruled out the idea of a departure, even on loan, as he intends to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid.

Endrick likely to return in September

Now, according to AS, Endrick is expected to make his comeback from injury in September, after the first international break of the new season.

The teenage wonderkid has been sidelined since May due to a tendon issue and as such, has been unable to train under new manager Alonso so far. He suffered a setback during the summer just as he was nearing a return last month.

Now, Endrick is tipped to return from his injury ordeal in September, after the international break.

It means that the 19-year-old will end up missing Real Madrid’s first three La Liga games of the season against Osasuna, Real Oviedo, and Mallorca.

With Alonso expected to line up his team with only two out-and-out forwards, Endrick will be behind the likes of Vinicius Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo (if he stays), and Gonzalo in the pecking order.

The injury-enforced absence makes it even harder for the youngster as Gonzalo, in particular, will have three additional matches to improve his chances of playing more regularly.

Despite the situation being as it is, Endrick is unfazed and is not considering leaving Real Madrid this summer.
