Lorenzo Insigne and Lazio: since that surprise contact first revealed on July 4, little has changed.
The free agent continues to hope for a reunion with Maurizio Sarri, and the fact that he’s still waiting suggests he has good reason to.
As reported in mid-August, Insigne was prepared to bide his time, even if it meant waiting until January to make his wish come true.

The situation could, of course, change at any moment, but so far the former Napoli captain has turned down every offer that’s come his way, including a couple more in recent weeks.
Now that November has arrived, new developments could soon follow.

Given Lazio’s current struggles in the transfer market, Sarri could certainly use a player like Insigne, someone capable of offering different tactical solutions beyond the usual 4-3-3. Above all, he could help address the team’s growing problems in front of goal, especially during Castellanos’ absence.
For now, though, Insigne will keep stalling on any other proposal as long as there remains even a chance of joining Lazio.
