According to Football Italia, Inter have agreed a three million euro deal with Lazio to sign Italy international goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, subject to a medical next week.

The Nerazzurri have been seeking a new keeper this summer after Yann Sommer moved on at the end of his contract.

Provedel has accepted personal terms on a three-year deal, though the transfer can only proceed once he passes those tests.

He has been out since March with a serious shoulder injury and is not expected back on the pitch until August.

Surgery addressed a lesion to the glenohumeral ligament with involvement of the glenoid labrum, a recovery timeline of four to five months.

Should the move be finalised, Provedel is likely to compete with Josep Martinez for the gloves this season.

Juventus had considered him too, but his agent has said he has always supported Inter.
