There could be some turnover in the Inter midfield either in January or next summer, and their officials have set sights on Petar Sucic should they need a new man at the position. He has a €12/15M valuation, while the wages wouldn’t be a problem, Corriere dello Sport informs (via Fantacalcio).
The youngster is also on Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund’s radar. The Nerazzurri might decide to accelerate their pursuit and acquire him in January, leaving him on loan until the end of the season. He’s currently on the shelf due to a metatarsus fracture. He has amassed 60 appearances, 5 goals and 4 assists with his current club after previously starring for Zrinjski Mostar. The 21-year-old has 5 caps with Croatia under his belt.
Inter have shortlisted Sucic primarily due to the uncertainty about the future of Davide Frattesi and Kristjan Asllani. In addition to Roma and Tottenham, Napoli are also eyeing the midfielder. However, the Nerazzurri don’t want to send him to a rival and demand a boatload of money.
As for the future, the Scudetto holders keep tracking Nico Paz. They could replicate the Brahim Diaz deal between Milan and Real Madrid. They could offer €20/25M and grant a €45/50M buyback clause that will come into effect two years later.
They’ll probably pull off a few of these deals given their newfound interest in luring youngsters, but their urgency in pulling the trigger will depend on the exits, which are far from certain. The whole ordeal about the former Sassuolo star has a simple solution, which is to give him more minutes, and it should happen soon.
