Inter maintain interest in Manu Kone

After failing to move for him this past summer, Inter are still reportedly interested in Roma midfielder Manu Kone.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri have kept Kone’s name on their transfer shortlist ahead of January and the summer of 2026.

However, the numbers leave no room for interpretation, as do the rules of Financial Fair Play: no outgoing deal can truly be considered a done deal for a club that must raise approximately €90 million by June 30th, largely from the transfer market.

This is a well-known situation, admitted only half-heartedly by Roma’s own management, and fully understood by Inter as well.

In practice, the coveted midfielder can return to being Inter’s top target only if the Giallorossi were to lower their demands.
