Inter Miami sign MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Dayne St. Clair to bolster defence | OneFootball

Inter Miami have signed 2025 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Dayne St. Clair, signalling their intent to strengthen at the back.

His deal runs through the end of the 2026 season, with an option for the 2027 mini Spring season before the league switches to a summer to spring calendar.

The move follows a busy off-season that included right-back Facundo Mura arriving and Homegrown defender Ian Fray re-signing.

While MLS Cup winner Rocco Rios Novo was pivotal during Miami’s championship run, the front office still targeted St. Clair to further reinforce the defence. His arrival gives the Herons a proven elite shot-stopper.

St. Clair looks an immediate fit. The Canadian international has a 79 per cent save percentage, placing him in the 90th percentile among MLS goalkeepers.

With Miami aiming to challenge for the CONCACAF Champions Cup this year, his shot-stopping will drastically improve an already solid back line.
