Inter Miami have signed Spanish left back Sergio Reguilón on a contract to December 2027, with an option to December 2028. The club said in a statement that he will occupy an international roster slot.
Reguilón said the ambition of the project and the chance to keep competing persuaded him. He wants to keep winning, target missing trophies and try to win everything.
The 28-year-old arrives with over 260 senior appearances, including 81 in the Premier League and 56 in LaLiga, and experience of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Born in Madrid, he spent 10 years in Real Madrid’s academy and was loaned to UD Logroñés in 2015/16. Back in 2016 he played for Castilla, made his first-team debut in October 2018 in the Champions League, and his LaLiga bow soon after. He finished that season in the squad that won the club’s fourth FIFA Club World Cup.
He enjoyed a standout 2019/20 on loan at Sevilla, helping win the Europa League and making the competition’s team of the season.
A move to Tottenham Hotspur followed, with two seasons there before loans to Atlético de Madrid, Manchester United and Brentford, then a return to Spurs in May 2024.
At international level, he has six Spain caps, including three UEFA Nations League games in 2020 and a World Cup qualifier in 2021. He joins Inter Miami as a free agent after the 2024/25 season with Tottenham.
