Referee Gianluca Manganiello lived up to expectations in last night’s Serie A showdown between Inter Milan and Lazio.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, the 43-year-old delivered a decent performance at San Siro.
Goals from Lautaro Martinez and Ange-Yoan Bonny inspired the Nerazzurri to their fourth consecutive win in all competitions.
Furthermore, a third straight victory in Serie A saw the 20-time Italian champions draw level on points with Roma at the table’s summit.
Therefore, Cristian Chivu’s side will spend the international break as Serie A’s joint-leaders.

For once, a high-profile Serie A clash unfolded without controversy, as Manganiello maintained perfect control of the game.
Despite Inter’s penalty appeals in the first half, the experienced referee was right not to punish Danilo Cataldi’s light push on Petar Sucic.
Moreover, Manganiello’s decision to disallow Piotr Zielinski’s goal due to Federico Dimarco’s handball in the build-up was also spot-on.
Finally, technology did its part in the 77th minute, when Mario Gila’s header hit the crossbar, yet the ball never crossed the goal line.
Still, it’s worth noting that Manganiello showed five yellow cards, including three to the home players.
